Rare Antique Vintage Victorian Needlepoint Wall pocket Horse Head Motif Equestrian Decor

Here is an exceedingly rare antique Victorian red wool needlepoint wall pocket with a beautiful brown horse head motif-The ornate Eastlake frame I believe may be made of walnut. There is some damage to the red background which looks repairable-one tiny hole and a few small spots (pictured) which I have not attempted to clean. There are also a few tiny scratches on the reverse side of the wooden frame (also pictured). These vintage wall pockets are very difficult to find especially with a horse motif-I have seen less than five in over forty years of collecting Victorian equine textiles-I am pricing this one considering the damage and do hope it finds a home where it will be appreciated. A stunning addition for any equestrian, horse lover or cowgirl decor.
